Act I

During act I scene iv, I found a quote from Romeo to the Friar Lawrence. He says
"Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till
this night." This explains that Romeo can easily fall in and out of love. Before

Juliet he is in love with this Rosaline girl. He says that she has Diane's wit,
meaning she doesn't love him in return. He was depressed, but once he saw
Juliet he was instantly in love with her even before he knew her name.
He had totally forgotten about Rosaline.

Act III

The quote I chose in act III scene ii was spoken by Juliet to Nurse was "Romeo is banished, There is no end, no limit, measure, bound, In that word's death. No words can that woe sound." This means that banishment is just as bad as killing him. She is crushed that Romeo is Banished. She knows that he will never be able to return to Verona and see her. She is willing to kill herself. This relates to today because people everywhere love someone so deeply that they would do anything for them. Also prison is like being banished and many people make mistakes and end up in jail.
